For anyone interested and available we will be working on Archery targets, this Sunday the 5th from 1:00 pm  till 4:30 pm. That will allow time to make it over to Games Night. This should be the last painting detail. On the weekend of 18th & 19th we will be working on preparations for Spring Thynge. I will post times as that weekend gets closer.

Greetings unto the Populace,
This is your friendly local Chatelaine announcing that Dover Days weekend is May
2nd! The end of April has snuck up on me, and the day is two and a half weeks
away. So mark your calendars and please plan to attend. This is one of our
regular demos and its important to make a good show to maintain our presence in
the Dover area. Its one of our excellent opportunities for catching the
attention of possible new members. We will be having our usual fighting demo,
dancing, an a&s and archery display as well as walking in the parade that
morning.

Saturday May 2, 2009

Thank you to those who spent time yesterday helping to prepare the O'Gealagain estate for Spring Thynge. The next, and hopefully final, work detail will take place on Thursday, April 23rd from 5 p.m. until dark. If necessary, we will complete any additional tasks on Friday night, but Padraig is expecting an out of town guess and would prefer to have everything done on Thursday. Any help would be appreciated.

This is a final reminder that Dover Days is this saturday! Please try to come out if you can and make yourself available to talk with the public. If you have a project that you would like to display by all means bring it! Showing the public the projects that we work on is a great way to get people interested and to give them a glimpse of what we really do.

Info:
Saturday May 2
Setup 8am (on the Legislative green at our usual spot)
Parade line up at 9am, we are #78
Fighting demos through the day
Dancing demos if we have enough people
Arts and Sciences display under the pavilion
Clean up around 4

Also, Please plan to bring fabric or some method of hiding non-period items (coolers, camp chairs, and the like) Remember this is a demo, we are there to
present ourselves to the public and so we should try to make things look nice. I appreciate your efforts and hope to see you all on saturday!
