Subject: [Populace] February Elections, new meeting day, ballot and info

Unto the Shire of Caer Adamant, greetings!

Elections are upon us.  Use of the attached ballot is required only if you
will be unable to either 1) attend the meeting or 2) arrange for someone to
hand-deliver it to the meeting for you.

Please note the *new meeting day*.  Effective February, business meetings
will now take place on Wednesdays, still alternating between Dover and
Odessa.  The day change should reduce library conflicts and date/location
confusion.  The next meeting will be 17 February.  Although most meetings
will be held on the third Wednesday, in deference to our members who
celebrate St. Patrick's Day the March meeting will be a week later than
"normal," on the 24th. April should see us returning to a regular schedule.

   The decision has been made to cancel practice this week due to the pending snow storm. Concern for every ones safety trumps are enjoyment together. So see yas all on the 23rd.

Medieval Fight Club - There's been a note going around that some new group
called Medieval Knights of Honor is trying to recruit the SCA to come and be
part of their new "sport fighting" club - a for-profit promotional
organization, which is trying to get jousting, sword fighting and other
"medieval prize fighting" on ESPN.
