I regret to inform you that we (the Autocrats and Officers of the Shire of Caer Adamant) have determined that hosting Swamp Thynge this coming September would not be feasible, and may well be detrimental to the "health" of future Swamp Thynge events, trying to get it planned at a new site this late. I want to very much thank you for your willingness to help out for this very lately planned Swamp Thynge, even not knowing the details of the location we will be using, and several of you being willing to meet me there and all, but we will in fact not be able to hold this event this year. This is a final decision, no take backs this time, I promise :) I greatly appreciate any and all help or offered assistance, and mostly appreciate the willingness of Baroness Laurens and Baron Bill to make themselves available at my leisure to view the site and to come in with other individuals, and thank those of you I have contacted with regard to specific aid (marshals and cooks and various other crew) for not only your willingness to help, but your willingness to come with me, to see what we had to work with and what the site had to offer. I look forward to being able to have Swamp Thynge again next year, and years after, but unfortunately it just can't happen for us this year. -- Marietta and Margaret -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... During this, Marietta has reworked the event bid packet as a Word form to replace the pdf version, which should be more user-friendly.
